Full day to San Rafael to explore the Atuel Canyon, with its colorful cliffs, the Los Reyunos and Valle Grande dams and the turquoise river.

  • It's a long day: we leave at 7 a.m. and return around 9 p.m.
  • Activities in Valle Grande are booked and paid on site.
The Atuel Canyon is Mendoza's strangest and most photogenic landscape: forty kilometers of cliffs carved by the river over millions of years, with shapes the locals have given names to: the Lizard, the Monsters, the Submarine, the Enchanted City. We leave very early for San Rafael, 230 kilometers to the south. On the way we pass the Los Reyunos dam and reach Valle Grande, the turquoise reservoir where most of the riverside stops are. There's free time there for lunch by the river and, for those who want it, optional activities: rafting, zip line, treetop adventure or a catamaran ride on the reservoir. Then we drive down through the canyon with photo stops at the most impressive spots. It's a long tour, you get back at night, but one you won't forget.
